YOUTH SUMMIT 2000 VIDEO PROJECT
Producer: Beth O'Brien

obrien@crfc.org

Goal: To create a short 10-15 minute video highlighting service projects completed through the Illinois Youth Summit.

Project Description: Creating a service video will allow students to share their service experiences with each other at the Youth Summit. Students will be able to see exactly what kinds of service projects each school conducted. This medium allows for students to see the project at all angles. One primary goal of Service learning is to provide adequate time and space for reflection and evaluation. This video, an intimate look at the service projects which students conducted, will provide for a kind of reflection that has never before existed within the Illinois Youth Summit.

In order to get this video done in time for the summit I will need to come visit your school at some point within the next month.

In this video, we would like to capture the three different stages of service: Planning, Implementation, and Reflection. Please sign up for one stage of the process (on the calender that is being passed around) and depending on when is a good time, I will show up at your school to videotape.

The following is a talent release form provided by Chicago Access, a not for profit cable channel that provides media access for people in Chicago. In order to get permission to videotape students we need each student to fill out one of these forms.

THANK YOU AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOUR STUDENTS ON CAMERA!
