Project Citizen

is a national civic education program for 5th-8th grade students coordinated in Illinois by the Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago. Project Citizen promotes competent and responsible participation in state and local government. Developed and directed by the Center for Civic Education and coordinated by Jessica Chethik of the Constitutional Rights Foundation Chicago, Project Citizen actively engages students in learning how to monitor and influence public policy and encourages civic participation among students, their parents, and members of the community.
