GOALS
Educating for Democracy represents CRFC’s effort to work comprehensively with elementary teachers to implement civic education curriculum and methodology in order to improve student achievement and promote pro-social behavior.
The goals of the initiative are:
- to increase teachers’ substantive and pedagogical knowledge about civic education;
- to increase teachers’ knowledge about the civic education needs of their students; and
- to increase teachers’ use of what they know about civic education and their students needs.
